Dr. Lexi Muniz Brandenburg
Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Lexi Muniz Brandenburg is excited to be the new owner of The Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing. She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and also completed her undergraduate work at UF while competing on the Track and Field team. Dr. Brandenburg is proud to be a Gator; her roots run deep in Gainesville. Her grandfather was a psychiatry professor at UF and the Chief of Psychiatry at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, and her dad is a graduate of the College of Engineering. Although she enjoyed working in Keystone Heights since graduating, Dr. Brandenburg is fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning her own veterinary clinic in Gainesville. She looks forward to serving her community through excellent care and down to earth, communication, while treating clients and their pets with compassion. Dr. Brandenburg resides in the vicinity of the Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing with her husband, Bud, and their two dogs. She has shown horses since a very young age and continues to do so with her horse, Pete. When she's not preparing for a horse show, Dr. Brandenburg spends her free time playing kickball and soccer, biking, jogging, and going to Gator football games. She and Bud also love to travel and to experience diverse local cuisine. Dr. Brandenburg looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

Maudrey
Manager, Technician
Maudrey is a Florida native who has grown up with a love for all animals. Having been raised on a small farm, she has years of experience with livestock and companion animals. Maudrey's work experience in Veterinary Medicine includes everything from being a receptionist to her employment as a technician. After working with Dr. Brandenburg for the past 4 years, we are excited to have her in her new role as Clinic Manager at The Veterinary Center. When Maudrey is not loving and caring for other people's animals, you can find her spending time with her daughter, her family, and her own pets.

Assistant
Ana holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Florida, graduating in 2022. Currently, she is continuing her education by pursuing the Aquatic Animal Certification program through UF College of Veterinary Medicine. She also conducts research with muscular dystrophy dogs and is currently working on a grant proposal to further their research. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys running, reading, and the exhilaration of F1 races.

Angelina is currently a student at Santa Fe College, pursuing a degree in animal science. Their long-term goal is to transfer to the University of Florida to attend veterinary school. The student owns an eight-year-old Maltipoo and a one-year-old cat. Outside of their studies, they can often be found walking their dog at the nearest park or playing 18 holes at Turkey Creek.

Anni is currently a student at the University of Florida studying Family, Youth, and Community Science. She holds an AA Degree in Animal Science and has worked as a receptionist and assistant in the veterinary field. Anni's passion lies in education, but her love for animals keeps her engaged in the clinic. She loves to foster kittens through local rescues and help find their forever homes. When Anni isn't at work or studying, she loves to be outside in the sun and enjoying nature. Anni will gladly talk about her beloved cat Oatis with any opportunity given!

She is currently pursuing a Master's in Veterinary Shelter Medicine at UF, with the aim of attending Veterinary School in the future. Originally from South Florida, Bailey spends her free time with her beloved Husky, Blu. She has a passion for travel; her favorite destination so far is the Dominican Republic, though she dreams of visiting Rome one day. Bailey looks forward to meeting and taking care of your furry companions.

Currently pursuing her AA Degree in Animal Science at Santa Fe College, she is determined to further her career in Veterinary Medicine. Outside of work and studies, she enjoys pet sitting and spending time with friends and family.

Growing up surrounded by animals, she has developed a deep love for their care and well-being. Her goal is in this field is to become a Certified Veterinary Technician and further her career in animal medicine. When she's not caring for furry patients, she's spending time with her beloved husband and two dogs, Entei and Penny.

Sassy is an on-again, off-again student with a variety of interests including cooking, drawing, and pet care. Her passion for animals developed early, influenced by numerous family cats cared for throughout her childhood. Her experiences with pet sitting during her teenage years further deepened her affection for the field. Sassy currently has two cats, two dogs, and two mice of her own, which helps her relate to the varied questions and concerns of clients, as she has faced similar worries with her own fur babies.
