Dr. Lexi Muniz Brandenburg is excited to be the new owner of The Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing. She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and also completed her undergraduate work at UF while competing on the Track and Field team. Dr. Brandenburg is proud to be a Gator; her roots run deep in Gainesville. Her grandfather was a psychiatry professor at UF and the Chief of Psychiatry at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, and her dad is a graduate of the College of Engineering. Although she enjoyed working in Keystone Heights since graduating, Dr. Brandenburg is fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning her own veterinary clinic in Gainesville. She looks forward to serving her community through excellent care and down to earth, communication, while treating clients and their pets with compassion. Dr. Brandenburg resides in the vicinity of the Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing with her husband, Bud, and their two dogs. She has shown horses since a very young age and continues to do so with her horse, Pete. When she's not preparing for a horse show, Dr. Brandenburg spends her free time playing kickball and soccer, biking, jogging, and going to Gator football games. She and Bud also love to travel and to experience diverse local cuisine. Dr. Brandenburg looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

Dr. Andrew Kicera, originally from upstate New York, earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2015. Since graduating, he has gained valuable experience in preventative medicine, patient care, client relations, and soft tissue surgery, working in both general practice and shelter clinic settings. Outside of work, Dr. Kicera enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their assortment of animals. He is also a passionate hobby beekeeper, fascinated by the world of bees and the importance of pollinators. In addition, he loves snorkeling the reefs in South Florida and exploring new places through travel.

Maudrey is a Florida native who has grown up with a love for all animals. Having been raised on a small farm, she has years of experience with livestock and companion animals. Maudrey's work experience in Veterinary Medicine includes everything from being a receptionist to her employment as a technician. After working with Dr. Brandenburg for the past 4 years, we are excited to have her in her new role as Clinic Manager at The Veterinary Center. When Maudrey is not loving and caring for other people's animals, you can find her spending time with her daughter, her family, and her own pets.
